da apostebet: On Monday morning, Everton’s official Twitter account paid tribute to club legend Dave Hickson, who would have turned 88 on October 30.
da bet esporte: The former striker, who passed away in July 2013 at the age of 83, represented Everton on two separate occasions.
The first of those spells came between 1948 and 1955 – scoring 63 league goals in 139 appearances – before netting another 32 times for the Merseyside outfit between 1957 and 1959 after spells with Aston Villa and Huddersfield Town.
In the tribute, Everton provided a quote from Hickson, who claimed that he would have been ‘prepared to die’ for the Merseyside outfit.
That prompted a response from the club’s supporters, who want to see a similar attitude from the current crop of players following the team’s struggles in the early stages of the 2017-18 campaign.
Indeed, Everton are currently in the Premier League relegation zone after 10 matches of the season, and it would be fair to say that they lack a figure in the mould of Hickson.
